Infant Darshan in Tirumala

What IsInfant Darshan

  • A special darshan facility by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) for infants below 1 year of age.

  • It lets parents avoid long queues and gives a more comfortable darshan experience with their infant.

📍 Entry Point & Location

  • Entry is via the Supadam Entrance (Supatham/Supatham, also spelled “Supatham” in many sources) on South Mada Street.

  • Supadam entrance is near the Tirumala Nambi temple, roughly 100-150 ft from Vaikuntam Queue Complex on South Mada Street.

⏰ Timings

  • Typical darshan timings for infants are 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM daily.

  • Some sources also mention a morning slot (e.g. 8:30 AM-10:30 AM) in addition to the afternoon one.

  • On special/very busy days (festival days, special sevas etc.), infant darshan may be suspended or affected.

✅ Who Can Accompany / Who is Allowed

  • The infant (< 1 year) plus parents are allowed.

  • Siblings below 12 years are also permitted.

  • Grandparents or other relatives generally not allowed for this special darshan.

📄 Documents / What to Bring

  • Infant’s birth certificate or hospital discharge summary to prove age.
Parents’ valid photo ID (like Aadhaar).

  • If siblings are accompanying, their age proof may also be needed.

💵 Cost & Booking

  • Free — no charge for infant darshan, or for parents and siblings < 12 years in this category.

  • No advance booking required. It’s walk-in via the Supadam entrance.

⏳ Duration & Frequency

  • The darshan process with an infant usually takes about 1-2 hours, depending on crowds.

  • Once you avail infant darshan, next infant-darshan (if you still have an infant < 1 year) may only be allowed after 90 days (i.e. roughly every 3 months)

⚠️ Things to Watch Out / Tips

  • On special days or festival occasions, infant darshan may be suspended or changed. Best check with the TTD authorities ahead.

  • Ensure arrival early in the afternoon window so that crowd pressures are lower.

  • Carry all necessities for the baby — diapers, feeding bottles, change of clothes etc. Supadam area may not have full-facilities.
